Cancer Escape Map
Organize evidence around the mechanisms that let a cancer persist, evade therapy, recur, or spread — and the evidence required to show those escape routes are closed.
Global Cancer Escape Map
CancerDiscoveries tracks not only what appears to work, but the unresolved biological and evidence barriers that can permit persistence, resistance, recurrence, or spread. The goal is to make the remaining cure gap visible and testable.
This is research synthesis, not medical advice. No hypothesis on this page should be used to choose or change treatment.
Organize evidence around the mechanisms that let a cancer persist, evade therapy, recur, or spread — and the evidence required to show those escape routes are closed.
Contrast durable responders with nonresponders or rapid progressors in comparable settings and ask which measured differences may explain the divergent outcomes.
For each cancer type, identify the major unresolved barriers between present treatment evidence and durable disease eradication, while clearly showing uncertainty.
Build versioned, falsifiable research hypotheses about which mechanisms may need to be controlled together or in sequence. Hypotheses remain distinct from proven care.
Show where evidence comes from and where important populations, countries, age groups, or disease contexts remain underrepresented rather than assuming evidence is globally complete.
Translate headline claims into evidence questions: human data, randomization, survival, durability, recurrence, replication, sample size, resistance, safety, and remaining unknowns.
Nothing is silently overwritten. Earlier thesis versions should remain auditable so readers can see exactly why the reasoning changed.
Each published barrier below is disease-level research synthesis linked to Verified CancerDiscoveries evidence. A HYPOTHESIS label remains a hypothesis even when the record itself has passed editorial review.
No cancer-specific barrier records have passed the Cure Gap verification gate yet. The framework is live, but the registry will remain empty rather than publish unsupported conclusions.
CancerDiscoveries must never convert a mechanistic hypothesis, preclinical result, subgroup signal, or early trial into a claim that a person should take a drug or combination. High-impact medical conclusions remain fail-closed and require the existing editorial evidence gate.
The purpose of the Cure Gap is to expose what humanity still needs to learn and which research questions could most efficiently reduce that uncertainty.
